Project

As Director of Marketing Communications at a consumer brand, I served as the primary communications partner for the executive leadership team. I developed content that reflected each leader's individual voice while supporting broader business objectives.

One recurring responsibility was ghostwriting a leadership blog series for a senior leader. The articles gave the executive a platform to share perspectives on leadership, menswear, retail, and company priorities. My role was to translate conversations, interviews, and business priorities into content that sounded authentic to the leader while reinforcing the company's positioning.

For this article, the executive had recently appeared as a guest on a luxury-industry podcast. Rather than simply announcing the interview, I developed a first-person article that extended the conversation, highlighted the themes most relevant to the company's field organization, and encouraged engagement with the episode. The piece was published under the executive's byline through internal communications channels.

My Role

  • Identified the most relevant themes from the podcast for the intended audience.
  • Wrote the article in the senior leader's established voice and writing style.
  • Balanced executive thought leadership with messaging that reinforced the company's brand values.
  • Created supporting promotional copy for email and internal communications.

Final Deliverable

A Conversation About Luxury

I was recently invited to join the host of a luxury-industry podcast for a conversation about menswear, luxury, and the changing way men approach getting dressed today.

Over the course of my career, I have been fortunate to work with several remarkable fashion and retail brands. The host and I spent some time reflecting on those experiences and discussing how they continue to influence my work today. We also explored how menswear has evolved over the last decade, particularly the growing appreciation for quality, fit, and intentional dressing.

One topic I always enjoy discussing is the distinction between simply purchasing clothing and building a wardrobe. Increasingly, men are becoming more thoughtful about what they buy, choosing fewer, better pieces that serve them well across many aspects of their lives. This philosophy aligns perfectly with our approach, where every garment is created with purpose and personalized to the individual wearing it.

We also discussed something that makes our business truly unique: the relationship between our field professionals and their clients. I often compare great style advisers to exceptional hoteliers. They anticipate needs, provide thoughtful guidance, and create an experience that feels personal rather than transactional. In a world where so much of retail has become automated and impersonal, that human connection is more valuable than ever.

Another interesting part of our conversation centered around fabrics and craftsmanship. As someone who has spent a lifetime working with textiles, I firmly believe that the difference between good, better, and exceptional quality becomes apparent the moment you see it, touch it, and wear it. Those details matter, and they are part of what elevates clothing from a necessity to something genuinely enjoyable.

If you have a few moments, I encourage you to give the episode a listen. I hope you will find it both insightful and encouraging as we continue helping men build wardrobes that reflect confidence, individuality, and lasting style.
